Nicole Orabana

Nicole Orabona (she/hers) is a queer, Latinx theater maker who splits her time between NYC and Berkshire County, MA.  As an actor, she has carved out a career that bridges conventional and unconventional creative spaces, taking on everything from leading roles in Shakespeare with Emit Theatre, to being a senior company member with the Drama Desk Nominated Live In Theater. Trained in a blend of modern and classical practices at Boise State University, she was an original devising member of the long-running Unmaking Toulouse Lautrec, has appeared in commercials for MasterCard and Conde Nast, and has worked on over 30 interactive productions and prestige immersive events for clients that include Netflix and MGM.

As a director, she has a focus on new and devised works. Her live directing work has been seen at Feinstein’s/54 Below, The New Ohio, and TheatreLab. With her partner Nathan Leigh, she runs the production company CirqueSaw, and has produced and directed two micro-shorts, which have been accepted into multiple film festivals, including Manhattan Rep’s STORIES Film Festival.

Nicole has been one of many working to grow and develop the online storytelling movement throughout the global pandemic. With Exquisite Corpse, she originated the role of the Realtor in Leah Barker’s A Real Estate Opportunity for Your Consideration, now published by Dramatist Play Services. Additionally, her work with Bramble Theatre Company’s Ministry of Mundane Mysteries, Alterra Production’s THICKETT, and Live in Theatre has been experienced by audience members in over 100 U.S. cities and across 5 different continents.
