Theatre Camp, Three Weeks, Grades K-5

Learn, play, grow, and perform this summer in RWCYT’s Theatre Camp for grades K-5! Students in this program will experience all the elements of theatre by putting on a play from the initial idea through the final performance!

Students will spend a portion of their day in theatre-disciplined workshops and receive introductory training and exercises in acting, set design, costuming, and prop creation from local theatre professionals. The other part of the day will be dedicated to applying those skills in rehearsals and creating technical elements for a play to be performed at the end of the session. The performance will be shared with participants’ families via recording or in-person, as COVID restrictions allow.

Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4 pm PT
In-Person, at CASA CIRCULO CULTURAL in Redwood City

Additional Details

  • CASA CIRCULO CULTURAL is located at 1757 East Bayshore Rd. #23, RWC 94063
  • Camps will be held fully in-person, as COVID restrictions allow.
  • This experience will be limited to 15 participants, plus instructors.
  • Masks will be required at all times with the exception of meal times & snack breaks.**
  • Social distancing will be enforced at all times.**
  • Drop-off and pick-up details will be provided prior to the start of the session.
  • Students will have a lunch break & two snack breaks throughout the day. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch + snacks and their own water bottle each day.
  • Specific schedules and required registration forms will be sent prior to the camp start.

**As new COVID guidelines become available, requirements may adjust accordingly. Participants will be given advance notice of any changes.

In-Person at Dragon Theatre in Redwood City

  • Dragon Theatre is located at 2120 Broadway, RWC, 94063
  • Sessions will be held fully in-person, as COVID restrictions allow.
  • This experience will be limited to 15 participants, plus instructors.
  • Masks will be required at all times with the exception of meal times & snack breaks.**
  • Social distancing will be enforced at all times.**
  • Drop-off and pick-up details will be provided prior to the start of the session.
  • Students will have a lunch break & two snack breaks throughout the day. Participants will need to
    bring a sack lunch + snacks and their own water bottle each day. (Parents will be able to give permission for students to leave the theater during lunch only to purchase food.)

Intro To Arts Week, Grades 3-8

In this one-week experience, students in grades 3-8 will dive into a variety of art forms and explore the diversity of artistic expression. Participants will engage with local artistic professionals in a series of workshops each day to learn basic techniques and be exposed to creative methods specific to each medium. Workshops in drawing, sculpture, acting, creative writing, and more, will give students the opportunity to experience the breadth of art forms and be inspired by the arts!

Monday-Friday, 9 am – 4 pm PT
