5K Arts Walk

On Saturday, November 5th the Dragons are walking a 5k! Dragon Productions Theatre Company is a nonprofit theatre company in the heart of Redwood City. Currently in its 18th year, it mentors artists, produces both rarely seen and original new plays, and educates both children and adults. While we can generally cover our program costs with ticket sales and class fees, what we need help with is the same thing that everyone in the Bay Area needs help with - rent, utilities, and all the necessary overhead to keep the lights on and the programs running. We're also constantly expanding our programming to include more diverse artists and audiences and need a little seed money to get these new programs off the ground and into the world. Your support means that we can do more educational outreach, invest more resources into our facilities (like pulling more electrical circuits to our light grid for more and better stage lighting), and hire more staff to provide excellent service and resources for the community at large. We've got big plans to let Dragon become a community center for everyone and need your help to make this dream a reality. In this turbulent times, we think that artists are more necessary than ever to break down walls and tell diverse stories to foster empathy and compassion in the people in our community.

Want to help? Chip in on our walk-a-thon! Keep Redwood City a vibrant community hub that's the best place for artists on the peninsula!
