Virtual Learning Policies
Virtual classes will start promptly at the scheduled start time. Please do your best to sign on to Zoom 5 minutes early so that you may address any last minute issues.
It is encouraged that students participate in class with wireless headphones, if possible. Classes will include movement, so wired headphones may be restrictive to the student’s participation.
No virtual backgrounds will be allowed, unless agreed upon with the instructor. We never want a student to feel uncomfortable in the Zoom meetings, but some virtual backgrounds can be quite distracting.
Students should have their cameras and microphones on at all times, unless otherwise instructed by the teacher.
All classes are scheduled to record for quality control and potential marketing purposes. When registering, parents have the option to sign, or not sign, a photo release. Those without a signature would not be included in any future marketing.
Cancellation
Classes are designed to be intimate in size for maximum student participation, however, minimum enrollment is required for all programming.
If Redwood City Youth Theatre cancels a program, a full refund will be given to all registrants.
Withdrawal
If a student withdraws within 24 hours of registering, a full refund will be received. After this time, 25% of the tuition becomes a deposit and the following refund schedule begins.
- If a student withdraws prior to one month of the class start date, registrant will receive a 75% refund.
- If a student withdraws between one month and two weeks of the class start date, registrant will receive a 50% refund.
- If a student withdraws within two weeks of the class start date, no refund will be given.
Partial refunds will be distributed via check to the billing address given during registration unless otherwise requested.
Late Pick-Up
All classes will have a late pick-up fee of $1 per minute per student.
When registering, you will have the option to allow your student to leave class unsupervised.
