Slater, who lives in Northern California and is a medical doctor by profession, clearly has a talent as a playwright. His short plays have been produced in several theaters in the area, most frequently at Pear Theatre in Mountain View.
“Confession” is billed as a world premiere, with Slater and his friends Robyn and Paul Braverman as the forces behind this production. Robyn Braverman directs the play, and Paul Braverman plays Vincent. Kyle Smith plays Vincent’s brother Anthony, who’s now a priest.
What a messed up childhood these two had! The family in “Death of a Salesman” doesn’t even come close to the horrors Vincent and Anthony went through as young boys growing up in an unbearably dysfunctional family.
